Got comfort?
Now, what says "ahh...summer!" better than an ice cold glass of tea, a great book -- The Art of Racing in the Rain -- and the incredible comfort of your new Adirondack chair?
As promised, we have added those wonderful Adirondack chairs to our product line. Haven't you always admired them on the deck at your favorite summer hang-out, or in that ad showing two right on the beach? Now, you can have your own Adirondack chairs and recreate the tranquil pace of summer wherever you wish.
The single chair is available in a variety of finish choices, from exterior grade enamel to clear penetrating oil that will really show off the natural beauty of the cedar. You also have the option to choose between different grades of fasteners for the bottom and back slats. The least expensive option is durable coated screws that resist rust and staining, such as the Deckmate brand of fastener. A step up from those are the stainless steel screws that add a nautical look to your chair. Finally, if having exposed screw heads is not to your liking, you may choose to order your chair with plugged screws, similar to fine furniture joinery. Check back for close up pictures of all three options.
You also have a choice of the type of wood used in the construction of your new Adirondack chair. If it is to be painted, I recommend tight-knot pine for a slight savings in cost. For staining, tight-knot cedar makes for a distinctive and beautiful appearance. For the ultimate in outdoor furniture, and a chair that will be the envy of your neighborhood, you may choose tight-grain clear cedar for the arms and bottom/back slats. Combined with the plugged screw option, you will have an equisite piece of furniture that will delight for years to come.
